Statement of Faith
WHAT WE BELIEVE
CHURCH DOCTRINE
The basic and fundamental doctrine of this church shall be the Holy Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by full emersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, Acts 19:5, these fulfills Matthew 28:19
THE GODHEAD
God is One, Holy, Living and True God, of everlasting and of infinite power, wisdom, and goodness, the Creator and Preserver of all things seen and unseen. Our God has revealed Himself to us through three Divine manifestations as The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. (Phil. 2:6; Matt. 3:15-17)
SANCTIFICATION
We believe that the Bible clearly teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation. (Heb. 12:14; I Thess. 5:23; II Pet. 3:18; II Cor. 3:18; Phil. 3:12-14)
WE PRAY TOGETHER
Because the Bible reads: “They lifted their voice to God with one accord. Every Friday at 7:30 pm we unite in prayer and the power of His presence releases signs and wonders for lives to change and strongholds are broken. Acts 4:24, Luke 19:46
THE LORD’S SUPPER (Sacraments)
We partake of the Lord's Supper to show the Lord's death until He comes. The bread symbolizes the Lord's broken body and the wine symbolizes the covenant in His blood, which provides us with forgiveness and relationship with God. We judge ourselves before we receive it (for we know if we receive it unworthily without giving it honor as the symbol of our salvation and considering our brothers), we are guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. I Corinthians 11:24-25; Luke 22:19;
LAYING ON OF HANDS
In obedience to the example and words in the Bible, we believe in the laying on hands for blessing, for healing of the sick to confer office, to receive the Holy Spirit, to receive anointing and for ordination to consecrate and receive the necessary ministry gifts. (Mark 10:13-16, Mark 5:22-23, Acts 8:16-17, I Tim 4:14)
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Bible tells us: “For the promise is unto you and your children and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” The evidence of this experience is speaking in heavenly language or other tongues. Acts 2:4, 2:39, 10:46, 19:6
HEALING, DELIVERANCE, MIRACLES, SIGNS & WONDERS
Because the Bible reads: “Is any sick among you? “Let him call for the elder of the church: and let them pray over him anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”
James 5:14, Mark 16:16-18, Acts 2:43
TITHES & OFFERINGS
The tithe is given to God from our increase and for our increase. It is the way we open the door of our fiances to give and then to receive God’s blessing. When we give the first tenth of our earnings back to God, we return to Him what was His in the first place, and what He asks us to give to Him so that He might give us even more. Malachi 3:8-12. Offerings were gifts, often of material goods, given above and beyond the tithe. People normally made offerings for specific reasons to meet a special need, for example, or thanksgiving for a special blessing. (See Ex. 35:4-36:7)
